These short vine plants are self-supporting but benefit from a trellis or cage to keep the masses of pods off the ground. Succulent 3 stringless pods with thick walls sweeten as the peas start to form. Medium green in color.
SOWseeds outside in early spring and again in late summer for a fall crop. Peas prefer cool weather, but snap peas dont like the cold, wet soil of very early spring. Plant seedsdeep, 2-3 apart.
