Description
Phlox paniculata ‘Flame Pro Pink Pop’ is a striking tall garden phlox known for its vibrant, large clusters of bright pink flowers that bloom profusely throughout mid to late summer. This cultivar is valued for its vigorous growth habit, reaching heights of 36 to 48 inches, making it an excellent choice for adding vertical interest and bold color to perennial borders and cottage gardens. Native to eastern and central North America, garden phlox has a rich horticultural history dating back to its early use by Native Americans for medicinal purposes and its subsequent cultivation by European settlers. ‘Flame Pro Pink Pop’ stands out for its improved disease resistance, particularly to powdery mildew, a common challenge in phlox species, which enhances its reliability and reduces maintenance in garden settings. The plant’s fragrant flowers attract pollinators such as butterflies and hummingbirds, contributing to garden biodiversity. Its long blooming period and robust nature have made it a popular selection among gardeners and landscape professionals alike.
