Description
Mangifera indica ‘Valencia Pride’ is a distinguished mango cultivar known for its exceptional fruit quality and reliable productivity. Originating from Florida, where it was developed in the mid-20th century, this variety is prized for its large, oblong fruits that exhibit an attractive blend of yellow and red blush on smooth skin. The flesh is fiberless, juicy, and richly flavored with a sweet, tropical aroma, making it highly desirable for fresh consumption and culinary uses. ‘Valencia Pride’ mango trees are vigorous growers with a dense canopy and good disease resistance, adapting well to subtropical climates such as those found in Florida and similar regions. Its flowering and fruiting habit tends to be consistent, providing regular harvests, which contributes to its popularity among home growers and commercial orchards alike. This cultivar’s combination of outstanding fruit quality and adaptability has earned it recognition within mango-growing communities, underscoring its status as a premier mango variety for both ornamental and edible purposes.
