Description
Hemerocallis ‘Eleonore’ Daylily is a striking hybrid daylily known for its elegant, large blooms that typically showcase a delicate blend of pastel shades, often featuring soft pink petals with subtle yellow or cream undertones. As a member of the Hemerocallis genus, this plant is celebrated for its hardy nature, adaptability across a variety of soil types, and its ability to thrive in full sun to partial shade, making it an excellent choice for both novice and experienced gardeners. Originating from a long tradition of hybridization that dates back to the early 20th century, ‘Eleonore’ reflects the ongoing dedication of horticulturists to enhance bloom size, color intensity, and extended flowering periods. This cultivar is particularly valued for its repeat blooming habit throughout the summer, unlike many daylilies that bloom only once per season. Its sturdy, arching foliage provides an attractive backdrop even when the flowers are not in bloom, adding year-round garden interest. While daylilies have been featured in numerous garden publications and recognized in various flower societies, ‘Eleonore’ stands out for its combination of refined coloration and robust garden performance, making it both a botanical and ornamental favorite.
