Assess risks on slopes and unstable ground and take precautions. Wear slip-resistant footwear, long trousers, and earplugs. Avoid loose clothing, jewellery, and sandals. Tie back long hair. Inspect for hazards like stones or wires that could damage mower or be thrown by the blade. Regularly check mower, especially blade and replace worn parts. Ensure safety levers and guards are functional. Mow in good visibility and keep people and pets away. Never operate without safety guards. Avoid mowing wet grass or in bad weather, especially thunderstorms. Maintain firm footing on slopes and mow across them, not up and down. Avoid slopes steeper than 20. Be cautious near obstacles blocking visibility. Immobilize blade when tilting or transporting mower. Stay alert to nearby traffic. Start motor carefully, keeping feet away from rotating parts. Never lift or transport mower with motor running. Do not disable safety systems or modify motor settings. Avoid burns by not touching hot motor parts. For powered models, disengage wheel drive before starting. Always turn off motor and disengage blade before transporting or performing maintenance. Wear gloves when handling or servicing blade. Check safety guards regularly and replace if damaged. Never use damaged parts; replace with original ones. Store mower out of children’s reach, away from heat or sparks. Read battery and charger manuals before use. Do not charge a damaged battery or use an incompatible charger. If battery chemicals contact skin or eyes, wash immediately and seek medical help. Store batteries in cool, dry place. Do not disassemble or repair battery; dispose of damaged ones correctly.
