Description
Brassica oleracea ‘Kamome Bright White’ is a striking ornamental kale cultivar prized for its vibrant, crisp white rosettes contrasted by lush green outer leaves, creating a visually captivating display in cool-season gardens. Originating from the species Brassica oleracea, which encompasses a diverse range of vegetables and ornamental forms, this particular variety is valued not only for its decorative appeal but also for its cold tolerance, making it ideal for fall and winter landscapes. Unlike edible kale varieties, ornamental kale is primarily grown for its colorful foliage rather than consumption. ‘Kamome Bright White’ exhibits a tightly curled leaf texture and a compact growth habit, enhancing its versatility for container planting, borders, and mass plantings. Its bold white coloration brightens garden beds during seasons when many plants have faded, earning it recognition among landscape professionals and gardeners for winter interest and unique aesthetic qualities.
