Description
Chrysanthemum morifolium ‘Stellar Pink’ is a hardy garden mum prized for its vibrant pink blooms and robust growth habit, making it a standout perennial for late-season color in garden landscapes. Known for its dense, bushy form and prolific flowering, ‘Stellar Pink’ produces large, daisy-like flowers that bring a cheerful pop of color in the fall when many other plants are fading. Originating from the species Chrysanthemum morifolium, which has a long history of cultivation in East Asia dating back over a millennium, this cultivar benefits from centuries of breeding focused on ornamental appeal and garden performance. The plant thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained, fertile soils, demonstrating excellent cold hardiness that allows it to survive harsh winters and return reliably each year. ‘Stellar Pink’ has become a favorite among gardeners for its ease of care, disease resistance, and ability to attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies. Its combination of vivid floral display, adaptability, and historical legacy underscores its enduring popularity in perennial garden designs.
