Description
Hemerocallis ‘Primetime Sunshine’ is a vibrant daylily cultivar known for its brilliant, sunny yellow flowers with a distinct, slightly deeper golden throat that creates a striking contrast. This daylily features a compact, clump-forming growth habit, typically reaching 16-20 inches in height, making it ideal for borders, mass plantings, or container gardens. Its semi-evergreen foliage remains attractive throughout much of the growing season, providing both seasonal color and structure. Like other daylilies, ‘Primetime Sunshine’ is exceptionally hardy, drought-tolerant, and low-maintenance, thriving in a wide range of soils and full sun to partial shade. Originating from extensive hybridization efforts aimed at enhancing flower color intensity and bloom duration, this cultivar bursts with multiple blooms per scape during its mid- to late-summer flowering period. The cultivar reflects the ongoing innovation in daylily breeding, combining aesthetic appeal with garden resilience, making it a favorite among landscape designers and home gardeners alike.
