Description
Impatiens x hybrida ‘SunPatiens Spreading Variegated White’, commonly known as SunPatiens Variegated White, is a robust and versatile New Guinea impatiens hybrid prized for its exceptional heat and sun tolerance, unlike traditional shade-loving impatiens. This variety features striking variegated foliage with white and green patterns that add ornamental value even when the plant is not in bloom. It produces abundant, pure white flowers throughout the growing season, typically from late spring to fall, providing continuous color in landscapes exposed to full sun or partial shade. Developed through advanced breeding programs to combine vibrant floral display with disease resistance and drought tolerance, SunPatiens have become a popular choice for gardeners seeking low-maintenance, long-blooming annuals for beds, borders, and containers. The variety’s spreading growth habit helps create a full, lush appearance, making it ideal for mass plantings or cascading over edges. SunPatiens have earned acclaim in the horticultural industry for revolutionizing impatiens cultivation by expanding planting options into sunnier areas where traditional impatiens struggle.
