Description
Lavandula stoechas ‘Madrid Lavish Pink,’ commonly known as Spanish Lavender, is an eye-catching variety prized for its vibrant pink bracts that crown the traditional purple flower spikes, offering a colorful twist on the classic lavender silhouette. Native to the Mediterranean region, this evergreen shrub thrives in well-drained soils and full sun, and is particularly valued for its drought tolerance and aromatic foliage, making it an excellent choice for xeriscaping and pollinator gardens. ‘Madrid Lavish Pink’ typically grows to a compact height of 12-18 inches, presenting dense, bushy foliage that adds year-round interest to borders and containers. Its unique flower form—tufts of showy, petal-like bracts resembling rabbit ears—distinguishes it from other lavenders and attracts bees and butterflies, enhancing garden biodiversity. This cultivar has gained recognition for its ornamental appeal and performance in warmer climates, embodying both Mediterranean charm and modern garden versatility.
