Description
Muhlenbergia capillaris ‘Fast Forward’ Pink Muhly Grass is a stunning ornamental grass prized for its vibrant, airy pink flower plumes that emerge in late summer to fall, creating a striking cloud-like effect in the garden. Native to the prairies and open woodlands of the southeastern United States, this cultivar is known for its more compact, upright growth habit compared to traditional pink muhly grass, making it an excellent choice for smaller landscapes or mass plantings where a neat, tidy appearance is desired. Its fine-textured, bright green foliage turns a warm golden bronze in the fall, providing multi-season interest. ‘Fast Forward’ is drought-tolerant, low-maintenance, and thrives in full sun to light shade with well-drained soil, contributing to its popularity among gardeners seeking sustainable and visually impactful landscape options. This cultivar has gained recognition for its performance and ornamental value, standing out as a modern improvement in the Muhlenbergia genus for both residential and commercial use.
