Description
Prunus persica ‘Redhaven’ Peach is a celebrated freestone peach variety renowned for its outstanding fruit quality, vibrant reddish-yellow skin, and sweet, juicy flesh. Developed in the 1940s by the University of Illinois, ‘Redhaven’ quickly became one of the most popular peach cultivars in the United States due to its exceptional cold hardiness, disease resistance, and reliable mid-season harvest. This cultivar thrives in temperate climates and is prized both for fresh eating and culinary uses, including baking and canning. The tree itself is vigorous and moderately sized, producing attractive white spring blossoms that add ornamental value to landscapes. ‘Redhaven’ peaches have earned recognition in fruit-growing communities for their consistent performance and superior flavor, solidifying their place as a benchmark in peach cultivation.
