The Tensioner arm is Designed to Allow Forgiveness in Differentials of Torque and Load Contributing to Movement of Tensioner Pulley Which Could Causes Mower Deck Belt Slapping. Toro OEM 138-7270 is Designed to Maintain the Mower Deck Belt Close to the Mower Deck Tensioner Idler Pulley when Mower Deck Slapping or a Differential of Load and Torque is Applied this Eliminates the Mower Deck Belt from Slipping off the Tensioner Pulley.
